Voice altering

Mr. Sherburne in his column at pitchforkmedia mentions that:

According to a friend who recently interviewed one edge of their double blade, Olof Dreijer, dude actually does his press engagements speaking through a vocoder.

That should look funny how The Knife is giving interviews via some gear. But somehow I like this idea. There is something of the Residents' or FSOL approach in it. Actually when I started doing one radioshow (at RadioNaba), initially I also used a Pioneer DJM-600 pitch-shifter to alter my voice.
